Overpronation

Excessive inward rolling motion of the foot during walking or running

What Does This Mean?

Overpronation occurs when the foot rolls inward excessively during the gait cycle, potentially leading to biomechanical imbalances, instability, and increased risk of injuries such as shin splints, plantar fasciitis, and IT band syndrome. Proper footwear and orthotics can help address overpronation.
